Sophia

Please meet Sophia! This thoughtful girl has smile that can light up a room and brighten anyone’s day. She is eager to find her forever family and would do best in a home who can provide the attention, patience, and love that she deserves.

Sophia is a loving child and enjoys helping and giving to others. She often makes art to give to people and likes giving gifts to her friends and teachers whenever she can. While at a Kentucky Kids Belong event last fall, she made an extra goodie bag to take back to one of her friends who she said was going through a hard time.

Sophia enjoys drawing, coloring, and playing get-to-know-you games like “would you rather” and “Family Talk”. She likes listening and dancing to Disney music and Kids Bop. She also loves the movie “Stitch”.

Sophia is in 7th grade. She does fairly well academically and recently received a 100% on a math quiz. In certain settings, Sophia can become overwhelmed and get upset with her peers in class. It is helpful if she is able to have time to decompress and process one on one with a trusted adult. She sometimes struggles being told “no” to something she wants to do. Her coping skills are music, art, and deep breathing. Sophia is generally a healthy child and is up to date on all routine appointments.
