About the Siblings

Meet Christopher and Damari! These boys are energetic, outgoing and looking for their forever home. Their only request is to be placed together so that they can maintain their sibling bond. Christopher is athletic and enjoys being active and engaging in activities in the community. He really loves spending time playing basketball and is quite skilled. Christopher enjoys watching football and his favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys. He also likes to spend his free time on his tablet and playing video games. His foster parent shared “Chris is a sweet and capable child who has a real strength in math and science. I see him light up when he understands something, and he takes quiet pride in what he can do.” Christopher is likeable and gets along well with peers and adults alike. Some of his favorite outgoings include spending time at the beach or going to McDonald’s to eat and spend time with his siblings.

Damari is active like his older brother and enjoys playing basketball and football. He also enjoys spending time watching his favorite football team play, the Carolina Panthers. Damari likes to spend time outside playing with his siblings and friends. He has been described as energetic, kind and inquisitive. His foster parent shared “Damari is a warm, caring child who does well in school and truly wants to do his best. I see his kindness in the way he looks out for others and his desire to please. He brings a gentle, positive energy into our home and with encouragement and consistency, he continues to flourish. Like his older brother, Damari likes to play video games and enjoys time on his tablet when he has free time. He also likes to watch action and thriller movies.

Christopher and Damari will do best in a two-parent household with a strong male figure. If they are placed with a single parent, that parent will need to have a strong support system and male role models that will be involved in the boy’s lives. They will need a loving family who will give them grace and show patience as they acclimate to their home, rules and expectations. They would do best in an active home willing to expose them to new experiences and allow them to be involved in extracurricular activities. Christopher and Damari need a family who will support their academics and be strong advocates for their educational needs. They will need to be open to services as needed to address emotional needs as they arise. It would be a bonus for the family to have training or a good understanding of trauma and how that impacts behaviors. Their adoptive family will need to be open to them maintaining familial connections.
