About Dustin
Dustin (9/2019) enjoys spending time with his foster family, coloring, playing outside, having books read to him, jumping, running, playing with toy cars, and building things with blocks. He has a big heart for animals and his current foster family has two dogs in the home which he enjoys petting and interacting with. He also enjoys playing in a shallow pool when it is hot outside.
Dustin will attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. He has a desire to learn his letters, number, and to learn to read. He enjoys participating in learning activities such as sticker books, coloring books, and workbooks that help him learn his shapes and colors.
Dustin thrives on praise and encouragement, especially when working toward a goal. In preschool, he responded well to positive reinforcement and a reward system. While in preschool he enjoyed learning and acting out new songs, dancing, being social, and building friendships.
Dustin is reported to be a good eater and to enjoy a variety of food. Dustin particularly likes Macaroni and Cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, chips, and fruit.
Like many children his age, he is still learning how to manage big emotions and express himself when things do not go his way. With the right guidance, he continues to build skills in managing frustration, staying on task, and making positive choices.
