About Gabriel
Gabriel is a handsome 10-year-old boy who likes to go by the nickname of Gabe. He is a bright and intuitive boy who likes building with Legos, outdoor play, and soccer. He enjoyed playing soccer on a rec league team where he played goalie and defense. Those who know Gabe describe a smart boy whose big personality shine through when he feels comfortable and at ease. He has a curious nature and likes to read, learn, ask questions, and explore his environment. Gabriel has a history of being a strong student and typically does very well in a school setting. A past teacher described him as the “model student.” Despite many changes over the years, he continues to do well in school and his favorite subjects are math and reading. Gabe is also tech savvy and is a big-time gamer during his downtime. Gabe is very active and enjoys time out in the community. One of his favorite places to visit is the trampoline park. During his quiet time, he likes playing board games and watching movies and tv shows, such as Encanto and Minecraft. One of Gabe’s favorite treats is a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Gabe is in need of a forever family who will love and nurture him while providing him with a permanent home. Gabe has experienced a lot of inconsistency in his young life and caregivers who have not been able to commit to him long-term. His adoptive family will need to have strong parenting skills as they provide Gabe with structure, positive discipline, and lots of attention. Therapeutic services will need to continue. It is important for Gabe to feel connected to peers and to have positive activities to look forward to. It would also be important for him to maintain contact with his adult sister.
