About Josiah
Josiah affectionately known as “JJ” is looking for his forever family! He is kind, sweet and has a gentle nature. “Josiah likes everyone to be doing okay and when others are hurt or upset, he is compassionate and caring.” Josiah likes action figures, toy cars, trucks, Legos, and arts and crafts. He enjoys items that he can manipulate with his hands such as Play-Doh and slime. Having a love for building things means Josiah also likes to take things apart. If Josiah can get a hold of a screwdriver he will take things of interest apart and try to put them back together. Josiah savors outdoor time and loves to ride his bike and explore in nature. This is also a time where he will interact with neighborhood friends. This is extremely exciting as Josiah struggles with peer interactions. Overall, he is a good eater and enjoys fast food, fruit, yogurt, spaghetti and grilled foods.
Josiah needs a family that has a calm nature who is loving and caring. He is responsive to adults who are understanding of his special needs and is eager to please. Josiah’s forever family must be sensitive to his need for structure, consistency, security and predictability. His family should expect that there will be ups and downs while recognizing progress will be slow. Josiah is an amazing child who needs a family who will take the time to understand his developmental needs and secure the proper resources.
